This was made for my daughters
 and  another Lolita accessories...This was made from a cardboards, 1 round piece for the top of the hat, 1 round piece with a round hole in the middle for the base of the hat and 1 white card that was rolled and stapled for the hat itself. I did sew abit of this and then glued it all together, firstly i glued the black fabric on each the 3 pieces of the hat, then I accessorized it with black lace trimming around the top and bottom of the hat, I handmade the gathered lace and black rose, also handsewn together some black lace to give it a gathered look right underneath the hat, oh I nearly forgot... some black ribbon to dangle down so it looks nice! Im not sure why the gathered lace around the black rose is not looking right.... *sighs* oh well, Im not happy with the hat looking not right but its my first go, I will try and make a better one next time! all handmade with loving care from me! Time taken : 3 hour. Gothic Lolita Top Hat was modelled by my daughter Update - I re-adjusted the hat where it looked wonky but it was just where I stuck down the lace...  and I taken this picture with a different angle so you can see the black lace at the bottom part of the hat.More pictures are here - [link] [link] [link] [link] |
